Anika was invited to serve as an instructor at the 2026 CAJAL Course, “The Neurovascular Unit and Beyond – How CNS Border Sites Dynamically Regulate Brain Homeostasis” at the Bordeaux School of Neuroscience in Bordeaux, France. This intensive, two-week, hands-on course brings together early-career scientists from around the world to learn methods for studying the blood-brain barrier. Anika is teaching students how to isolate brain capillaries and use this model as a platform for blood-brain barrier research. A great opportunity for hands-on learning, scientific exchange, and fun in the lab!

Pannita achieves a perfect Bradford assay
Congratulations to Pannita on a perfect Bradford protein assay! This is a rare accomplishment, with only a few BHL members having achieved it over the years. Following a long-standing lab tradition, we celebrated Pannita’s perfect Bradford with a pizza party.
